Learnt from Doing Interview

Yesterday I did interview with Tricia at Wuda’s Goya Coffee. I feel like I really love doing interview. The whole process of getting to know a person is just so fanscinating!

And here is what I learnt from yesterday’s experience:

1. Always be curious. Everything happens with reasons. Even if it’s merely an “thoughtless act”, it still means something. Never take anything or any attitude for granted, or one will miss a lot.

2. Never presume you know any answer. When one asks questions, more than half of the times one might have already known the answer. But still, as ethnographer, we must keep objective and let conversations flow as it should be. Never bring any prejudice or being opinionated.

3. Careful about the wording. Try to make interview questions simple and concise. Good questions will make the interview really fluent.

I will prepare my interview with these tips next time!
Good night!
